THE Rotary Club of Dunedin Welcomes New Member Allison Walton

We want to introduce you to our new club member, Allison Walton, owner and designer of Trade Roots, Cabinets, and Design. She is a proud mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and entrepreneur with a passion for treating people with kindness and respect.

When she is not working, you can find her on the water as a member of Freedom Boat Club. She loves learning to navigate, and she is grateful for being able to host friends and family on board! She also loves hiking and being in nature, where she finds peace and inspiration.

Her construction journey was unexpected. After facing personal challenges and navigating difficult times as a young adult, she found her way through hard work and determination to provide a good life for her daughter, who is her life-saving angel.

She has worked in various roles, from managing a pizza joint to licensed massage therapy, flooring installation, general remodeling, and tile installation, and eventually started her businesses in tile. After 10 years of hard labor, her body was calling for a change, so she found a showroom sales position, where she learned about cabinetry design and 2020 rendering software.

After mastering these skills, she began to realize that customers weren't receiving the level of service and honesty she wanted to provide. So, walking in blind faith, she left a high-paying job and restarted another business, with the sole purpose of upholding the morals her mom and dad instilled in her. Integrity, dedication, care, and doing the right thing, regardless of the circumstances.

That's where the name Trade Roots came from. She comes from the trades. Her dad owned a heating/air conditioning repair business, and she used to ride around with him, so she grew up in a work van. Her father also refused to do business with people who took advantage of homeowners.

Now, she is proud to be part of THE Rotary Club of Dunedin, which she didn't realize at first, holds all the same values she has been fighting to uphold her entire career. She is proud to be part of our organization, where she can contribute to positive change in our community. She is excited to connect with like-minded individuals and explore ways to make a difference together.
