The Rotary Club of Dunedin’s Environmental Response Team (ERT) once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community service by answering a call to action from Keep Pinellas Beautiful, a local chapter of Keep America Beautiful. As part of the ongoing Rotary Adopt‑a‑Mile Project, the team dedicated their Saturday morning to improving the environment along a key stretch of Virginia Street.

Volunteers gathered at 9:00 AM in the French’s Pizza parking lot, where they coordinated their cleanup plan and prepared for the day’s efforts. Their designated route extended from Patricia Avenue to North Keene Road, a busy corridor in need of attention and care.

Armed with gloves, grabbers, and determination, ERT members dispersed along the roadway and green areas to remove litter and environmental contaminants. Their work not only improved the community's aesthetics but also protected local ecosystems from harmful debris.

This partnership effort underscores the strong relationship between the Rotary Club of Dunedin and Keep Pinellas Beautiful—two organizations united by a shared mission to protect and enhance the natural spaces that make our city special.

“We are grateful to Keep Pinellas Beautiful for identifying this area and partnering with us,” the Rotary ERT team noted. “Today was another opportunity to put Rotary’s motto—Service Before Self—into action.”

The Rotary Club extends its heartfelt appreciation to every volunteer who participated. Through continued collaboration and community engagement, local Rotarians remain committed to preserving the beauty, health, and vitality of Dunedin—one mile at a time.
