This evening at Palm Harbor University High School, I was honored to present three $5,000 scholarships to the following recipients Nia Balieva, Lucas Weaver, and Nadia Thornton. This year, the Scholarship Committee received 38 applications from the Pinellas County Education Foundation for consideration.
Our club created this committee and foundation and supported funding back in 1987. We have an average of twelve to fifteen scholarship recipients in the pipeline at any given time. Thank the committee members Pat Bauer, Randi New, and Larry Franklin, the scholarship Committee Chair for their time and effort in supporting this committee.
